Terms and Conditions

All goods remain the property of Pineapple Displays / Hire a Santa's Grotto whilst on hire.

All times quoted are approximate and any delays because of traffic (i.e. in cities) will absolutely be attempted to be avoided, but any delay will not be the responsibility of Pineapple Displays. Acceptance of booking with Pineapple Displays confirms acceptance of our terms.

Whilst on hire, the customer (the hirer) is fully responsible for the goods.

All hired items need to be returned in the same condition. Any damage or loss will have to be paid for in full by the hirer, immediately they are charged for. This term is non‑negotiable, and in engaging our services the customer (the hirer) accepts this. It is the responsibility of all event organisers to obtain insurance for their event. It is the responsibility of the hirer to ensure the hire finishes at the agreed time. Any running over on time will be chargeable for the goods on hire and for staff time to the next full hour. It is the responsibility of the hirer to ensure that any goods being collected on a pallet are safely packed and handed over to the driver. Any damage caused due to the goods not being packaged properly will be charged to the hirer.

If it becomes necessary for reasons beyond our control to change/substitute any hire item – e.g. a prop, background or grotto – for another item because of reasons such as theft from an event, damage, over‑running event etc, we will endeavour to match as best as possible. We cannot be held responsible for any occasion such as this or indeed accept any liability for this.

Deposits are non‑refundable. Bookings are taken in good faith. A booking can be cancelled without incurring further charges, other than the deposit, if it is cancelled within 3 days of making the booking. Bookings that aren't cancelled within the initial 3‑day time frame will be chargeable in full to the hirer. All bookings are bespoke to the individual's requirements.

As these are all winter events we highly recommend that an indoor venue is made available should the weather or indeed weather forecast be too bad.

In strong winds and heavy rain, inflatables and props cannot be used, due to health and safety reasons, and will not be erected outdoors. Our decision is final on this due to the health risk to any individuals.

Further on any bad weather: with regards to outdoor hires, safety of the public is paramount. Should the weather be too wet, windy, icy or snowy to have the inflatable outside, please ensure an alternative indoor position is available, as we cannot put anyone at risk and place it outside. No refunds are given if an alternative is not organised.

We will happily drive, deliver and install the inflatable / scene at a nearby alternative indoor venue at no extra charge. Please note that no payment is returned if the goods cannot be installed in a specific location should the weather be too dangerous to do so. This is beyond our control.

All payments are to be made in full prior to the event date.
